Hi Everyone,

In an effort to improve the appearance of a crucial entrance into downtown Amherst and the  County, the Municipality of Cumberland will be developing a bylaw over the next 4 months which intends to control signage along Route 2 / Laplanche St. as it approaches Amherst.

This bylaw will regulate all signage within the provincial highway right-of-way, and create the regulatory framework for the development of a uniform signage standard in the area.

We welcome feedback and comments from business owners, residents, landowners, organizations and the public in the development of the Border Entrance Signage Bylaw. Our first open house will take place on June 18th, from 5-6pm, at the Upper Nappan Service Centre, Lower Floor – 1395 Blair Lake Rd.
